Naomi Velez-Mack, a graduate of the San Diego Unified School District, is a dedicated and versatile professional who has proudly served the district for over 12 years. Throughout her career, Naomi has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting students, staff, and the community through a wide range of roles and responsibilities. Her professional journey includes experience in special education, nursing and wellness, library services, office and administrative support, and most recently, impactful work at the district level in the Educational Development (ED) Center.
Naomi’s diverse background has allowed her to develop a unique understanding of the educational environment from multiple perspectives. Whether supporting students with specialized needs, promoting health and wellness, managing resources in the library, or streamlining office operations, she brings compassion, organization, and excellence to everything she does. Her role at the district level reflects her continued growth and leadership within the educational system.
Outside of work, Naomi enjoys spending time with her family, who are central to her life. She is also a part time Barista at our favorite coffee shops we all know and love. She is an avid cruiser, finding joy and relaxation exploring new places by sea. Her warm personality, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of students and staff make her a valued member of the district and a cherished presence in her community.
